Snow Cocoon  uses snow to create a calm yet echo-less emotional vacuum: space is flattened, depth and direction vanish, and the senses gradually lose their ability to judge, leaving only “emptiness, loneliness, and frozen-ness.” The sadness is no longer temporary; it is extended and placed—like time is buried under layers of snow and loses its momentum. The work further embodies “time standing still” through the cocoon: growth may still be possible, but the time for action and response is taken away, leaving only sealed silence. In the end, viewers understand that life is held at the moment it is about to begin—yet never moves forward.
